Neighbors and Need

MissionStatement::
Our mission is one of compassion by bringing
honor, dignity and hope to those in need of help.
Through our compassion and the Lord’s hand we
will provide encouragement, clothing, home
products, personal items, basic life skills,
mentoring, spiritual guidance, meals, basic home
maintenance assistance and most of all, sharing
the only real hope that is through Jesus Christ.
We will reach out and make ev-eryone we come in
contact with feel loved and to provide a real

Bible Study |

To better facilitate women in their study and
fleshing out of the scripture by example, through
encouragement, by making various group studies
available, and encouraging women to walk worthy of
their calling in Christ Jesus at home, at work, at
church and in our community; that they might achieve
excellence in their spiritual walk, being conformed
to the image of God’s Son. |

Christmas Decorating |
|
To
honor the event of Christ’s birth by annually
decorating Cascades Baptist Church. Shortly after
Thanksgiving each year, volunteers gather at the
church to decorate for the upcoming season. |

College Care Packages |
|
To
encourage and show a caring spirit to all CBC
college students. To draw together our church family
for the purpose of encouraging and caring for our
college students. |

provide encouragement and support to the ladies at
Cascades. We accomplish this goal through the means
of prayer, cards, notes and communication. |

provide meals for women who have recently had a
child or are sick. |
|

Showers |
|
To
provide bridal and baby showers for women of
Cascades who are engaged to be married or pregnant
with her first child. Volunteers are needed to help
host, organize and plan for these special occasions. |

Women's Fellowship |
|
To
spend time and companionship with the women of
Cascades through banquets, fellowship evenings and
special events. The various areas of help include
bringing requested items for a specific occasion,
providing food when needed, putting together door
prizes, donating time, using your unique and special
gifts and helping in any areas of hospitality. |

To
communicate and organize outings for the women of
Cascades. Special outings, conferences, ladies days
and getaways are planned with your needs and
interests in mind. |

Small Groups
Our entire ministry at Cascades is about leading people to faith in
Jesus Christ and then into a life of Christian discovery, and that
is exactly what occurs in our Small Groups. We believe that Small
Groups are practical and Biblical for experiencing life change. They
provide a comfortable and safe place for everyone to experience
support, healing, growth, friendship and challenge.
In a group of 3-12 individuals, you will discover the excitement of
true Christianity with other people of faith as well as the
life-change Jesus intends for every believer.
Small Groups meet weekly in neighborhood homes. If you are not
participating in a Small Group, then why not join one? It is your
way to get connected to the heart of Cascades Baptist Church.

Moms and Toddlers
Moms and Toddlers meet each Tuesday morning at 9:30 am at the
church.
Men's Ministry
Currently the men are meeting each Thursday morning at 6:00 am in
the church for a prayer meeting.
